Antique English Sterling Silver Chainmail Purse c.1880 Era_Georgian 40ct halo of twinkling rose-cutDescription: A beautifully wrought late Victorian chainmail evening purse in Sterling Silver, alive with fluid movement and delicate detail. The finely woven mesh cascades from an engraved, hinged frame adorned with foliate motifs and dotted borders, and is finished with a petite openwork ball finial at the tip for a graceful flourish. Practical as well as pretty, it features an unusual, secure closure at the frame and a short double strand chain
