WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

At AKTEK, we’re on the lookout for a motivated and experienced DevOps to join our team.

You'll be key to ensuring that AKTEK’s products and services remain secure, compliant, and fully operational while also contributing to the development of new software tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and Enhance Infrastructure: Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance for AKTEK’s products and services.
  • Implement Security Best Practices: Conduct security assessments, enforce best practices, and perform regular audits to keep our environments secure.
  • Automate Deployment Pipelines: Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments, minimize downtime, and enhance code quality.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA to ensure alignment on infrastructure requirements and promote DevOps culture.
  • Monitor and Respond to Incidents: Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems, respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support Compliance Initiatives: Assist with compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR), ensuring that policies and infrastructure align with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and Maintain Internal Tools: Contribute to the creation and improvement of internal tools that support the development, testing, and deployment of AKTEK’s software.
  • Document Processes and Best Practices: Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, policies, and DevOps processes to foster knowledge sharing and support growth.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in security, compliance, software development, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST) and data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Familiarity with AWS. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Great communication skills, capable of explaining complex ideas simply.

  • Bonus Points For:

    • Certifications such as CISSP or CISA.

    • Hands-on experience with security tools and software development.

    • Experience in supporting clients with technical tasks, like data processing.
