RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect Robust Solutions: Design and build distributed systems handling critical data with high availability and performance standards
  • Transform Big Data into Insights: Process and analyze massive datasets from diverse sources, enabling real-time decision-making
  • Leverage AI Solutions: Integrate AI-powered tools and capabilities to enhance system functionality and automate complex processes
  • Drive End-to-End Development: Own features from concept to deployment across our technology stack
  • Develop Component Libraries: Create and maintain a comprehensive UI component library to ensure consistency and accelerate development
  • Innovate Beyond Boundaries: Collaborate with diverse teams to solve technical challenges that create new possibilities
  • Lead and Mentor: Guide technical discussions and help develop the next generation of engineering talent
  • Expand Our Capabilities: Develop new software tools that advance our mission and technology foundation

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • 4+ years building large-scale systems in cloud environments with demonstrable impact
  • Advanced React Proficiency: Deep experience with React ecosystem including hooks, context API, and state management solutions
  • UI Library Development: Experience creating reusable component libraries, with knowledge of design systems and component documentation
  • MERN Stack Proficiency: Deep experience with MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js
  • Database Versatility: Strong command of both SQL and NoSQL database systems
  • Version Control Mastery: Solid Git workflow experience and best practices
  • AI Integration Experience: Familiarity with implementing AI services (like GPT, Azure AI, or AWS AI services) into production applications
  • Integration Capabilities: Experience connecting systems via APIs and diverse data sources (GIS/ArcGIS, Salesforce, Google APIs)
  • Performance Optimization: Proven track record improving system scalability, reliability, and efficiency
  • Collaborative Approach: Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear ideas

Valuable Additional Skills

  • Experience with component testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)
  • Familiarity with Storybook or similar documentation tools
  • Knowledge of CSS-in-JS libraries (Styled Components, Emotion)
  • Linux (Ubuntu) server administration experience
  • Business Intelligence background
  • Startup experience as a founder or early team member
  • Experience with LLM prompt engineering and AI model fine-tuning
