We are heading toward December with our full focus on improving our UX and adding strategic new features to AKTEK iO.
If you are already a customer, you can also go to our helpdesk and check our step-by-step guide to use these new features.
Data Structure
Section duplication
Last month we made it possible to duplicate a data field. This month you will be able to copy a whole data structure section.
Automation
This month, more options have been added to the automation section to make your work faster.
Transform field into Ref
Transform any field in your data structure into a reference field. Please follow these steps:
1- Add a reference field and configure it correctly in your data structure.
2- Go to Automation > Transform field into Ref > Create a new job and configure it. Under the Target Ref field, choose the Reference field you have created in step 1.
3- Run the job.
After completing the above, iO will save the data in the Reference table and the original field.
Transform Ref into Field
Similar to the previous point but in the other direction, now it is possible to transform a reference field into a text field. Make sure to have at least one text field in your data structure before running this job.
You can enable the option “Skip record if the target is enabled” to avoid overriding existing data.
View History
We added Audit Trail to all the automation jobs. Just click on the menu of any job, then click on History.
Data Table
UX enhancements
You will notice the following updates when viewing your data:
1- When disabling the simplified view for page numbering, you can now click on the three dots in the middle of the page number sequence to enter a specific page number to go to.
2- You can search by record ID.
3- Double click on a reference field to open the target record. (Changed from one click)
4- You can deselect the fixed option field from the table view by clicking on the “x”.
5- if your data contains URLs, you can click on the URL from the table view to open it in a new window.
Bulk upload
Finally, we would like to announce the sunset on an old feature for bulk upload.
No more downloading excel templates, filling data, and re-uploading. You can now use the “Import data from files” instead. It’s easier, supports more records, and allows you to create a data structure from scratch. Please contact your account manager if you’re not familiar with this feature yet.
