LPRC membership reinforces AKTEK’s commitment to evidence-based approaches addressing organized retail crime, cargo theft and emerging supply chain threats.
As criminal networks become more sophisticated, organizations across retail and supply chain security face increasing pressure to move beyond reactive responses toward intelligence-led prevention.
AKTEK is proud to announce its membership in the Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC), an organization dedicated to advancing evidence-based solutions for loss prevention, asset protection and supply chain security through real-world testing, research and industry collaboration.

Founded to bridge research with operational practice, LPRC brings together retailers, law enforcement, solution providers and security professionals to evaluate strategies and technologies designed to address evolving threats, including organized retail crime, cargo theft, counterfeit goods and product diversion.
For AKTEK, joining LPRC represents more than a membership. It reflects a shared commitment to understanding how intelligence, investigation and validated methodologies can strengthen efforts to identify and disrupt criminal networks impacting supply chains and retail ecosystems.
This relationship builds upon previous collaboration between AKTEK and LPRC, including support provided during an LPRC field operation in Gainesville, Florida in late 2025. Experiences like these reinforce the importance of connecting analytical capabilities with real-world environments where security challenges unfold.
The timing is significant.
Supply chain risks continue to evolve in complexity, requiring organizations to anticipate threats earlier, identify patterns faster and better understand the networks behind criminal activity rather than focusing solely on isolated incidents.
On May 26–27 2026, AKTEK will participate in the LPRC Supply Chain Protection Summit at Walmart Headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas, joining conversations with retailers, law enforcement agencies and industry leaders working to address emerging challenges across supply chain protection.
As AKTEK continues expanding its engagement across the cargo theft, retail security and organized crime prevention landscape, partnerships and memberships such as LPRC play an important role in strengthening industry collaboration.
Because protecting assets increasingly means understanding the networks behind the threats.
